Mission Accomplished!

According to the Sacramento Bee and CBS13, Good Eats has backed out of their plan to take over the Corti Bros site, and Corti will be negotiating with the landlord for a new lease. Today's event at 3 will now be a celebration rather than a rally. I still plan on going, and I'll take some photos.

Save Corti Petition

Has everyone signed the petition to Save Corti?

Show Your Support Wednesday 9/3 at 3pm

On Wednesday, September 3, at 3:00 PM, the premier chefs of Sacramento will be speaking in front of Corti Brothers in an effort to persuade the landlord to allow the store to stay open through the holiday season. They want as many people as possible to be there with them in a show of support. Please come. The more people we have, the more we will be able to show how much Corti Brothers means to the community.

Chefs appearing will be:
Rick Mahan, The Waterboy
Randall Selland, The Kitchen
Biba Caggiano, Biba Restaurant
Randy Paragary, Paragary's etc.

Any news?

I heard a rumor that Corti had asked to stay in the current spot through December. Does anyone know more about this? Any other updates?

Lose non-food items

Let's face it, we don't really go into Corti Brothers to get laundry detergent, soap, bug spray or any of that other non-food shit.  Maybe Corti will drop that stuff and stick to food and wine ... above all, save the wine!!!!!
